Lasik, or laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis, is a laser surgical technique used to permanently reshape the cornea and to thereby correct certain refractive errors.  The procedure can now be used to correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) or astigmatism.

Lasik is performed as an outpatient procedure and usually takes less than 15 minutes.  Most patients are ready to resume normal activities within 1 - 2 days.

As with any surgical procedure, it is imperative that you understand potential risks and complications of Lasik.

If you are interested in learning more about Lasik please call the office and schedule your appointment with Dr. Wyll.
